My 3rd book in the Montaland Series, Benk and the Ugly Princess is OUT NOW!
In one of the kingdoms of Montaland, the mountain world, Rose is a high-ranking princess, which means she will be married off to the highest bidder. She makes herself look ugly, but when her disguise is blown she escapes, walking up a stream and sleeping in trees. Then one day the dogs that are hunting her come close enough to smell her.
Rose is not happy with the Maker of the mountain world, but she has no one else to turn to. Grudgingly she asks for help. The dogs are stopped; however, it’s evil wedewolves that stop them. Rose’s feet are already torn and inflamed from the rough streambed, but when the wedewolves’ eerie wails rise on her trail, she races through the woods in panic.
Benk knows the wedewolves are chasing someone. He finds Rose asleep in a high mountain clearing and brings her to a deserted cabin, but he doesn’t know what to make of her. For one thing, she stinks worse every day but refuses to wash. For another, she hisses like a cat whenever he comes near her hurt feet. He wants to take her to a healer, but they need water and they need to get into Benk’s boat. The problem is THERE ARE WEDEWOLVES ON THE PORCH!
Benk is the most famous scout Montaland has ever known, but will even he figure out what to do?
