I have always daydreamed stories, even as a child, and thought that was a natural thing to do. If my eyes close, like as not I start imagining something. It doesn’t always become a full-fledged story with a beginning and an end, but sometimes it has. That’s how my stories started. One scene or character would get fixated in my mind and then another one would pop up. I don’t create as I write; I describe what I’ve already imagined. This doesn’t mean that I don’t change things–I do that a lot. This is just how the stories start for me.
